Our tradition is based on the teachings of Yeshua (Jesus) and Mirya (Mary Magdalene). As with Yeshua we consider Mirya a realised and enlightened being and the co-preacher, spiritual consort and wife of the master. Our path is focussed upon self realisation and liberation through spiritual living and practice. Studies centre on Scripture (both traditional and Gnostic), Christian Kabbalah, Spiritual Living and Meditative Practice.

The purpose of this site is to provide a virtual community for Australian Sophians, supporting and informing their efforts in spiritual living and practice according to our tradition's wisdom teachings. Our discussions cover many topics and many traditions as the Sophian way is to use whatever works for the individual on their path. We do not see our tradition as the path for everyone and recognise that whilst it may prove helpful for many, there are other traditions that may be of more help to some.

We also welcome those coming to Sophian Gnosticism for the first time. We certainly hope you find this site a rich source of information that will help inform and guide your personal spiritual journey. Our tradition is not one of judgement, therefore we value all beings no matter what their gender, sexual orientation, creed, age, colour, political persuasion etc
